Both Shantanu Bhide and Jeff Culp successfully defended their MS thesis work this past May. Jeff is currently working for Dewberry in Richmond and Shantanu is now working on his Ph.D. with Stan Grant in northern Virginia. Their thesis titles are listed below.
- “The Effects of Basin Slope and Boundary Friction on the Character and Plunge Location of Hyperpycnal Flows Entering a Laterally Unbounded Basin” by S. Bhide
- “Do Muds Sort? Experimental Test of a Hypothesis Key to Understanding Marine Bottom Currents” by J. Culp
Melissa Joye also graduated with her B.S. this spring after a year of building sediment traps and collecting samples in Stroubles Creek.
