In July we hosted high school girls from around the world for a 2-week summer camp entitled Exploring Rivers and Landscapes and the Impacts of Climate Change and Human Activity through Laboratory and Field Experiments (Class Website) as part of the US State Department and VT Center for Enhancing Engineering Diversity program TechGirls. Similar to previous years, the class included interactive lectures on river and landscape evolution, coding with Python, image analysis, laboratory experiments, and data collection in the field. What a great group of fun, ambitious, smart, and hard-working young women.
