In July we hosted 32 high school girls from around the world for a 2-week summer camp entitled Exploring Rivers and Landscapes and the Impacts of Climate Change and Human Activity through Laboratory and Field Experiments (Class Website) as part of the US State Department and VT Center for Enhancing Engineering Diversity program TechGirls. Similar to the camp we ran in 2022, the class included interactive lectures on river and landscape evolution, coding with Python, image analysis, laboratory experiments, and data collection in the field. What a fantastic group of fun, ambitious, smart, and hard-working young women.
